What We Do

At WAEHEAL, we believe that sustainable development is only possible when women and girls are at the center of decision-making. We work to ensure they have the agency to shape their own futures through a holistic approach that integrates legal rights, health, and economic empowerment

Gender Inclusion & Rights Awareness

We bridge the information gap by educating communities on human rights, gender equality, and legal protections. By prioritizing health and legal literacy, we empower women and youth to claim their fair share of resources and live dignified, healthy lives.

Environmental Justice & Natural Resource Management

We strengthen local communities' capacity to safeguard their environments. Our work ensures that large-scale investments do not come at the cost of local ecosystems and that the benefits of natural resources are shared equitably among all community members.

Climate Change Adaptation & Sustainability

As climate shifts impact livelihoods, we support communities in building resilience. We advocate for urgent climate action and provide the tools necessary for local populations to adapt, ensuring sustainable development that protects both people and the planet.

Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship

We turn potential into prosperity by providing women and girls with business management training and small capital grants. By fostering financial independence, we not only reduce economic vulnerability but also create a vital shield against gender-based violence.

Evidence-Based Advocacy & Research

Data fuels our actions. We conduct rigorous research to influence policy and drive advocacy in the intersecting fields of environmental protection, legal rights, health, and climate-smart economic empowerment.
